It's easy to forget that underneath that impossibly shiny exterior lurks an utterly incredible machine: something that 10 years ago would have formed a good desktop computer and 45 years ago would have easily guided a rocket to the moon.
But this new Firefox OS smartphone from telecommunications company KDDI, seeks to rectify that, with an intriguing transparent design. The Fx0 au has been created by Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka and enables the user to see all of the inner components. The designer's studio say that, "in order to express the openness which is the most distinctive feature of Firefox OS, Tokujin captured the beauty of mechanicals inside and incorporated them to the design".
Specwise, it features a quad-core Qualcomm processor, 4G capability and the Firefox logo on the circular home button.
"This will be a model that symbolises a new stage for Firefox OS smartphone," said Yoshioka - head to his website for more information and check out all the images below.
