adidas Originals are taunting us. The latest model of their timeless Stan Smith trainer is so slight, it'll have you longing for sunny afternoons and average temperatures above five degrees. Which are still months away.
Ditching its usual leather side panels in favour of something less cumbersome, the majority of the new Stan Smith's construction is formed by a loose woven mesh. Structure is lent by the toe box and tongue, formed from more traditional materials of leather and canvas. It's a light, breathable, bold look.
With an accented heel tab, tongue and sole unit, the only way you could draw more attention to these beige and off-white classics is if you wear neon socks. Arriving in mid to late February, you can order a set of these woven beauties from Aphrodite 1994 for £65.
And just to be clear, never wear them with neon socks.
