So then, following last night’s gala evening at London’s Raindance Film Festival, which saw all five film entries for ShortList’s Shorts competition themed around ‘A bad day at the office’, we can now reveal the cream of the crop…

Remember the name Uzo Oleh, whose comedy short Dan?, about a stand-in employee who slaps seven shades of silly out of his co-workers, impressed our panel with neat editing and a razor-sharp script, going on to scoop our grand prize along with £1,000.

So then, a hearty slap on the back/head/face for Oleh, who we expect big things from as he embarks on a film career.
