Someone's started a web fund to get Matt Damon back from Mars
Ridley Scott must be feeling pretty smug right now. His new movie The Martian is so bloody good that people think it’s a true story.
So epic is his latest work that someone called Kyle Douglas M has started a GoFundMe page to retrieve Matt Damon from Mars.
To be fair to the guy, it seems like Kyle fancies himself as a bit of a comedian, plugging his humour page in the pitch. But he does bring the laughs by reminding everyone that Ben Affleck really needs his best friend to be here during this difficult time in his life.
One of the greatest actors in Hollywood is currently trapped on Mars after a failed exploration. We need Matt back on earth because he is due to be in another "Bourne" movie.
Matt is also a loyal friend to another Hollywood great Ben Affleck who needs Matt Damon's support as he goes through a divorce.
Failing to bring Matt back could be devistating (sic) to our American life and will have a devastating impact on film if we don't rescue Matt.
The bit that makes you lose just a smidgen of your faith in humanity is that two people have already contributed to the $99 million target.
Kyle has raised $10 for his rescue mission and made a hashtag in the process - #bringhomeMatt.
That's one small step for Matt.
