These are the real moments in British history that inspired Game of Thrones
One history class we'll stay awake in

27 May 2016
You there, back of the class, pay attention.
The boffins over at YouTube channel RealLifeLore have produced a history lesson that all of us managed to stay awake through from start to finish, which is a monumental achievement in itself.
In it, they draw parallels between it-actually-happened British historical events, including The Battle Of Hastings and the Roman invasion, and the nail-biting, stomach-churning, cliff-hanging stuff that happens in a little TV show called Game of Thrones. Heard of it? It's quite good. You should watch it.
Oh, there's also a cameo from Kurt Russell, which is always nice.
We'll be throwing a little pop quiz at the end of the day, so feel free to take notes.
