This Creepy Gadget Lets You Control Someone Else's Body

We're not sure what to make of Yifei Chai.
The mind behind the Pretender Motion project, Chai was inspired by "witchcraft and possession" to build a system that lets you 'take control' of someone else's arm with a series of electrodes. It's even able to animate dead flesh - which is messed up on a whole bunch of levels, foremost of which is that Chai has actually tested it on pig flesh.
Pretender Motion sees the 'controller' wear a glove that reads the electro signals of the muscles in your arm. This is linked to a corresponding sleeve on the 'subject', whose muscles receive identical electronic signals.
As a result, the controller can move the subject's arm, and they can't do a thing to stop it.
At present, the system only works on hand actions and arm movements - but if Chai or others fine-tune this tech, we can imagine a future in which entire suits could have people walking around under the guidance of a remote controller.
The future is a scary place.
