These are difficult times for the world, and the United States in general. How best to tackle Daesh? How to deal with the threat of terrorism? How to respond to the many, many tragic mass shootings that have occurred this year?
Luckily, though, America has politicians it can trust.
First Presidential candidate Donald Trump comes out with another zinger about banning Muslims from the US entirely, and now: the only way to celebrate the Christmas story of love, thanksgiving and hope for all mankind.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is a genuine family Christmas card from Nevada politician Michele Fiore, a Republican assembleywoman.
Never have the words "Jesus Christ" been so appropriate to utter.
It features her family members, from young to old, brandishing a whole arsenal of weaponry. Handily, in case we didn't realise just how tooled up the family are for Christmas, there's a useful list of what heat they're packing in the top corner of the card (David: Beretta 92FS, Sheena: Glock 30 45 acp, Michele: Serbu Super Shorty 12ga, Lill: Extar EXP556, Savanah: Glock 19 9 mm, Kyle: Glock 30 45asp).
The caption on the Facebook post reads: "It's up to Americans to protect America. We're just your ordinary American family. With love & liberty, Michele."
If that's an ordinary American family, we'd hate to see an extraordinary one.
In case you were in any doubt already (we're not sure how you would be), Fiore loves guns.
She has previously been quoted as saying, after sponsoring an Assembly Bill which would allow conceal and carry of firearms for self-defence on college campuses, in grade schools, and in day care facilities: "If these young, hot little girls on campus have a firearm, I wonder how many men will want to assault them. The sexual assaults that are occurring would go down once these sexual predators get a bullet in their head."
Merry Christmas everyone.
