Good news - we've discovered the fountain of youth in a rather unlikely-yet-brilliant source: a glass of G&T.
At least, that's what Anti-AGin is claiming.
Winner of our pun-of-the-year contest (that we just made up), this clear spirit is distilled with drinkable collagen - a structural protein found throughout the human body that health and beauty brands have been slapping in pills, creams and injections ever since a lack of it was linked to signs of ageing (e.g. getting wrinkles).
"It's the next best thing for people who want stay young, but don't want to give up alcohol," reads the Drink Supermarket blurb. "By including a host of age defying botanicals and combining them with drinkable collagen, this is the alcoholic equivalent of a facial."
The creation of food and drink group Bompas & Parr by commission of Warner Leisure Hotels, the gin has been distilled in London. You can pick up a bottle for £34.99 right here.
Quite whether the collagen content helps counteract the youth-sapping effects of the alcohol in the gin isn't mentioned. We'll try a glass (with diet tonic water, obviously) and let you know.
