This new VR climbing game looks beyond terrifying

Forget undead hordes, axe-wielding serial killers and monsters from the depths of space.

Nope, for the most nightmarish thrills going you're going to want to pop on a VR headset and try playing The Climb.

A new title for the Oculus Rift, the core elements of the game are pretty simple: climb a massive wall/cliff/obstacle (all of which look ruddy spectacular) in the fastest time possible, guiding your disembodied hands through a series of hard-to-reach anchor points. Looking down will make your stomach do some very nasty things, and reduce your knees to little more than sponges.

If you're scared of heights, this is your new hell.

The Climb is now available for the Oculus Rift
