2011 is shaping up to be a very superhero-heavy year and we're definitely not complaining.
As well as Green Lantern, Green Hornet, X Men: First Class and Captain America all hitting in the next 12 months, the trailer for Thor has given us something else to get properly excited about.
Based on a Marvel comic, Thor is an arrogant and powerful Norse God who is banished to earth by his father (Anthony Hopkins) and after falling in love with a damn human (Natalie Portman - fair enough) he then has to protect her and the world from general destruction.
Directed by Shakespeare-loving Kenneth Branagh, Thor promises 300-style action, some intense fighting scenes and a fair bit of melodramatic shouting from the looks of it. In other words, it'll provide a satisfying kick-off to next year's blockbuster season on April 29th.
