Online team games are too predictable for our liking. One group of overly-pumped masculine stereotypes facing off against another, the inevitable victors being those who've spent longer on the game soaking up experience bonuses. Which is why we're very much looking forward to playing Evolve.
The four-versus-one monster hunter has just released a new theatrical trailer demonstrating the tension that the game's novel multiplayer experience is looking to provide.
A team of four highly specialised hunters take on a terrifying new foe - the Wraith. Smaller and weaker than Evolve's other monsters, this floating menace has a deadly skill - teleportation. Rather than taking on a whole pack of hunters at once, the Wraith prefers to pick off its foe one by one, separating the team and finishing them off before they can regroup and let rip.
When you're playing against a Wraith, it's not too clear as to who is hunting who.
Evolve arrives on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on 10 February 2015
