Tom Hardy is already gearing up for the next 'Mad Max' film
Well that was quick.
Strutting the sun-soaked carpets of Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of Mad Max: Fury Road, Tom Hardy has already iterated his enthusiasm to appear in the film's sequel.
"I'm totally ready to go and do another one," Hardy told the BBC. ""It's not case of 'trust me, it works'. I know it works and I can kind of feel the world I'm in."
Current speculation on the second film in a proposed trilogy suggests that events will focus on Charlize Theron's feisty Imperator Furiosa, with a similar level of vehicular chaos, and Hardy's Max returning with renewed mucky features.
Hardy also spoke of his initial apprehension towards George Miller's vision for Fury Road - such were the complications involved in the seven months of filming its desert-based car chases.
"Now I get it," said Hardy. "But at the time we didn't know what he was thinking. Filming it was very hard to understand. My head is on my shoulders and your head is on your shoulders and there's no possible way I could know what you're thinking. The gargantuan thing that George was trying to achieve, there was no possible way to articulate what we saw in those two hours on the screen. So those seven months on set were long because we just didn't know what he was thinking. You knew it was brilliant, but we just didn't know."
