Here’s the trailer for season 2 of one of Netflix’s funniest, most ridiculous shows ‘Big Mouth’
The animated comedy is going to tackle drugs and teenage sexuality this year
What show features furry sentient penises, talking vaginas and an elaborate musical number starring the ghost of Freddie Mercury singing about how great it is to be gay?
Why, only one of Netflix’s funniest and most ridiculous new shows Big Mouth.
The animated comedy, which will have 10 half-hour episodes this year, is written by real-life best friends Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg and tells the story of two awkward tweens going through the disgusting nightmare of puberty.
The first season was very, very funny – and even bagged an Emmy nomination – and now we’ve got our first look at season two:
In an interview from last year, Kroll explained that season 2 would have “more conversations about puberty.”
“We have a lot of stuff that we are planning for season 2 which is a lot more conversations about puberty,” he said.
“But also expanding beyond just The Hormone Monster as there are other parts that are not just the hormones that come into play within burgeoning sexuality. Issues of shame, drugs and a lot of other stuff like that. There’s things that we want to explore around shame and divorce and understanding sexuality and all that kind of stuff.”
Along with the show’s main cast – Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Jessi Klein and Jenny Slate – season 2 of Big Mouth will also feature Jordan Peele, Fred Armisen, Jason Mantzoukas, David Thewlis and Gina Rodriguez.
The show returns to Netflix on 5 October.
