For many of us, school geography lessons are nothing but a distant memory. No longer are we poring over maps, learning the locations of British cities or memorising the names of important natural landmarks. In fact, the closest many of us get to breaking out an atlas is tapping into Google Maps to help navigate us to the nearest Tesco, which is usually only about 15 minutes away. Lots of Tescos aren’t there?
