Want to know what the "one percent" take their selfies with?
Forget your iPhone 6 Plus and your golden HTC One - a true luxury phone isn't really about the phone at all. Vertu has long been a specialist in creating extravagant, muscular smartphones, and their latest collaboration with Bentley is no different.
At its core, the Vertu for Bentley is a practical, powerful Android phone: the 4.7 inch backed up by a 13 mega pixel camera, wireless charging and remarkably useful 64GB of internal storage. Then things get very... Bentley. Take the case - a knurled, Grade 5 titanium metal, softened by a quilted leather trim to match the luxury car's styling. The audio system has been "tuned" by Bang & Olufsen, the camera tweaked by photography experts Hasselblad, and - most extravagant of all - the ring tones and alerts have been created by "renowned composers" and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra.
As is standard for all Vertu models, the Bentley edition buys users a 12 month subscription to a 24-hour concierge service, personal lifestyle manager, VIP packages to major sporting events and members club. And no, they don't list their price on their website, but we've been told it's £10,700. If you can afford a phone to match your Bentley, that's probably lunch money.
