It's amazing what a difference 6,000 feet can make. Taken during a two-hour helicopter flight by photographer Vincent Laforet the images capture an astonishingly futuristic view of London that's usually missed at street level.
Far from the usual aesthetics you'd associate with the Big Smoke, Laforet's snaps capture a sprawling sci-fi metropolis that more reminiscent of Blade Runner than it is Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. A beautiful testament to the cities development in recent years.
Part of an ongoing project and upcoming book that's simply entitled Air, Laforet has also taking pictures of other famous cities like Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York and is due to do similar in Paris and Berlin. The entire series being sponsored by G-Technology.
