Anyone who's ever braved an online food shop will know that getting exactly what you want is highly unlikely. Order some fresh chicken breasts and you'll receive some chicken sandwich paste as a replacement.
Which is one of the many reasons that we're big fans of this idea.
In South Korea, Home Plus (actually Tesco but confusingly renamed) decided to expand their digital sales by installing virtual shelves in subway stations. The 2D displays showcase a variety of products which consumers can order by capturing the QR codes next to each product.
Their online shopping lists were then updated and the products delivered asap.
We're big fans and anything that prevents us from experiencing unnecessary human interaction is always top on our list.
