As we document even the most mundane aspects of our daily routine on Facebook, it would make sense that there will be, at times, stuff (drunkenly bitching about your boss on Friday at 2am) that you don't want others (your boss) to see.
But you no longer need live in fear of being handed your P45 on Monday morning after a heavy weekend. Behold the answer to your prayers: FaceWash.
This is a new app developed to help you clean out your soiled social media channel. Acting as a virtual Listerine, you access the programme via Facebook, which detects profanities on your page or anything anyone else has tagged you in.
On its cleaning list are comments made by others on your wall, tagged photos, tagged comments, links you've liked, photos you've liked, and fan pages. It then presents you with its findings and you're free to decide what gets the chop.
While it's certain to miss out some embarrassing moments, as it only currently picks up on unsafe language, you can rest a little easier knowing that misguided status you wrote last Saturday night swearing at your ex-girlfriend has disappeared.
Head here to start your cleanse.
