Watch Bruno Mars and The Time's rousing Prince tribute at the Grammys
Bruno and The Time pay their respects
Did you watch the Grammys last night? Oh, you were watching The Ibiza Weekender instead? No judgement here, but you missed quite the show, particularly when concerning tributes to the musicians we lost last year. Adele blasted out a moving appreciation of George Michael, complete with obligatory swearing, and Bruno Mars and The Time funked up a groovy show in honour of Prince.
In case you were wondering, The Time is a band that was formed back in the ‘80s by Prince himself, and they had a couple of big soulful hits like Jungle Love and Jerk Out. Prince was heavily involved, but not an actual part of the band, though he did co-write a number of their songs.
Bruno Mars on the other hand, is a little-known underground artist who had a very minor hit back in 2014 called Uptown Funk, but you probably haven’t heard of it. Either way, they both teamed up for a blistering tribute to the artist formally known as the artist formally known as Prince. Watch it below:
It seems it’s not just us that back his performance, the intersphere agreed wholeheartedly:
