Watch: Reading Football Club Unveil Cringeworthy Club Song
Stand by, because football has peaked everyone.
If you know any Reading fans, get ready to simultaneously laugh at them and pity them, for their new club song is truly a crime against music.
Co-written by the club's co-chairwoman Khunying Sasima Srivikorn, the video features players including Garath McCleary and Hal Robson Kanu - presumably put on screen at gunpoint - along with dancers and singers wearing Reading club colours.
Titled They Call Us The Royals, it was debuted (on the big screen no less) before a recent match against Leeds, but now the epic video has been released.
Lady Sasima has said, “I, along with my friends, wrote a song as a gift for Reading Football Club. We have made a music video together with it. So it will be an opening show. I was in the studio for many days doing that. It’s so meaningful for us to open the season well and for us to feel the spirit and the emotion of the fans with us. They have to be inside us. So we wrote the song which I’m pretty proud of. We tried to do the song in a trendy way."
Mere words can't do justice to the glory of the song - which somehow manages to combine the sounds of Bette Midler, Pitbull and Avicii - so prepare yourselves...
