It's not quite the World Cup semi-final, but nonetheless, we're sure there was big pressure on this penalty in the Scottish Highland Football League.
Brora Rangers striker Steven MacKay made a valiant attempt for the title of worst penalty ever with this atrocious effort against Deverondale. Brora, the defending champions no less, were 2-0 up when an errant back pass made its way to MacKay, who was brought down by opposition goalkeeper Grant Pennet.
Despite having already notched in the first half, MacKay absolutely shanked his effort out of the ground. We're pretty sure he would have been wishing the ground would have swallowed him up if he hadn't booted most of it to the moon.
Nonetheless, Brora triumphed 2-0.
So if Gareth Southgate, Chris Waddle, David Batty, Paul Ince...or any of the rest of you are watching: you can feel a little better now.
