Homeland’s David Harewood lifts the lid on the new series
BRODY
“Now a fully-fledged politician working in Congress, Brody [Damian Lewis, above] is hoping to influence US foreign policy from the inside, and he’s offered the chance to run on the ticket of a potential presidential candidate. But something makes it impossible for him to continue in this trajectory. And when he gets himself into another problematic situation, we will also be seeing him – how do I put this? – get his hands dirty again.”
CARRIE
“While not employed by the CIA, Carrie [Claire Danes] is brought back into the fold when a former asset resurfaces to warn of an attack on the US. Her operation against Brody has left her in a state of confusion, and she’s still recovering from electroshock treatment for her bipolar condition, but returning to the field could help bring back memories.”
THE MOLE
“Langley still has a leak. No one expected there to be a huge issue with the mole – the writers were going to reveal more in the last series, but saw how much fans were talking about it and decided to play with it more in this series.”
ON-SET
“The writers won’t tell us the plot twists until as late as possible. Of course, we dive into our trailers as soon as the new scripts arrive, but this way we get to play our characters in the present. We don’t finish filming for a few more weeks, so even I don’t know what’s around the corner…”
Homeland Season 2 starts on 7 October at 9pm on Channel 4
