Remember that moment the other week when something decent happened and it restored your faith in humanity? Yeah, well about that.
It's about to be cruelly ripped away after reading the following story.
Rapper/producer/The Voice judge Will.i.am is taking legal action over fellow musician Pharrell for using the words "I" and "am" right next to each other. Pharrell's creative brand is called "i am OTHER", you see.
It's not just the name of the company that's irking the Black Eyed Pea. The phrase "I am" will be used on a logo that will grace a number of products. Will believes that "The registration of the mark . . . is likely to dilute the I AM mark and the WILL.I.AM mark".
Pharrell has already responded with the following in conversation with Rolling Stone:
"I am disappointed that Will, a fellow artist, would file a case against me. I am someone who likes to talk things out and, in fact, I attempted to do just that on many occasions. I am surprised in how this is being handled and I am confident that Will’s trademark claims will ultimately be found to be as meritless and ridiculous as I do."
"I am in agreement" - what you're currently/probably saying. Well, if Will.i.am will let you.
