Woman On Tinder Tells Men She’s On Her Period And Was Surprised By The Response

Tinder is hardly a bastion of fairy tale love. The tone is consistently pretty low, which is the most reliable thing about it given the calibre of dates most people experience.

And it’s safe to say that there are a number of men who tarnish the reputation of an entire gender with their iPhone.

Thankfully there are also a few good eggs behind the keyboards who reacted pretty well to Eliza Dillard’s experiment, where she managed to weave in the statement that she was on her period in every conversation she had on Tinder.

Eliza was tired of the blunt propositions from certain men so decided to see how they would respond to a similarly blunt and uncomfortable explanation of why she wasn’t interested.

While one guy reacted with nothing but chivalry, another wondered when she would “get off” so that he could resume his intentions. 

A few even asked her out on a date despite her over-share.

But one potential suitor replied sarcastically: "Oh nice. Thank you for telling me that."

Eliza’s research came to the conclusion that:

My research proved that I was probably a bit hasty in judging Tinder guys and guys in general.

 

Some of them clearly are mature enough to talk about periods.

Basically, despite what the internet is constantly telling you -  we’re not all bad, although most people probably already knew that.
