While we were interested to see how Wonder Woman was going to be crowbarred in the upcoming Batman vs Superman, whispers are starting to culminate on Twitter that the queen of DC is set to get her own cinematic outing in 2017.
Although official word is still about as concrete as a sighting of the Invisible Jet, reports are circling the likes of US entertainment sites Deadline and Slash Film that Warner Bros. Kevin Tsujihara has revealed a number of upcoming projects to investors at a shareholder talk.
In addition to a Wonder Woman title (we'll go out on a limb and suggest that Bat v Sup's Gal Gadot will star, to fit with plans for a Justice League franchise), Suicide Squad will be DC's next cinema foray in 2016 - adapting the comic series that follows a band of antihero supervillains working covert missions for the US government.
The following year will see a Wonder Woman and Justice League film, with The Flash and Aquaman joining the party in 2018. There are also slots for a Shazam title (rumoured to star Dwayne Johnson) and Justice League sequel in 2019.
We'll see you in full costume at the queues to the midnight previews.
