North Korean carrier Air Koryo, the world’s worst airline, has launched its first online booking service.
The state-owned airline is open for e-business for flights from Pyongyang to Beijing and Shenyang in China, and Vladivostok in Russia. Hardly enough to warrant their rather ambitious "To the world!" tagline.
The Telegraph says Koryo received just one star from global ranking service Skytrax. The only airline to do so.
The website promises “easier, quicker, reliable booking and ticketing services.” Users have already reported slow response speeds and a regular 'error' message.
One-star ratings are for airlines that offer a “very poor quality performance… with poor, inconsistent standards of ….service …in on-board and airport environments.”
Air Koryo’s fleet consists of Russian-made Tupolev aircraft and others from the former Soviet Union.
Ryanair was among 29 airlines listed in the two star category.
