It would appear Rockstar Games are determined to rob you of all your existing free time. Heck, even the time you've got that isn't free.
As if the expansive world of Los Santos, varied narratives, countless missions and online play weren't enough of a bottomless pit into which to hurl your life, the fresh and shiny PC edition of the game now features 'Rockstar Editor' - an extensive video editing suit built into the game.
A well-worn feature in the gaming world (football titles have featured action replay functions for years, while 1999's Driver proved the joy that could be had with director replay functions in the drive'em'up genre), the shear breadth of options in the Rockstar Editor makes it one of the most complete recording, editing and sharing tool ever featured in a game.
Change camera angles, add music tracks, change the lighting with filters, bring in additional sequences showing action from that quiet junction up ahead that you're about to drive a burning dump truck through - the options are overwhelming.
With the shear scope of the game's creativity already being shown off by countless YouTubers, the new Rockstar Editor mode is set to usher in a new wave of GTA V-made films and fan projects. We can't wait to see the results (so long as they're Tarantino-themed and heavy on explosions).
