You could win a free holiday to Finland with 'Rent a Finn'
The happiest country in the world, apparently – and you could be there
Finland is regularly voted one of the happiest countries in the world – just a few weeks ago, in fact, it claimed the top spot once again in the UN’s annual World Happiness Report. So you’d be forgiven if you were absolutely desperate to visit.
Good news, then, if you don’t fancy splashing out on the holiday yourself – Visit Finland are giving you the chance to win a free holiday.
It’s offering a ’Rent A Finn’ program: eight normal Finns have been appointed as ‘happiness guides’, who you’ll be able to stay with for three days.
And if you’re not sure you need the holiday, their quiz on how balanced your life is might be the inspiration you need to apply.
“The Happiness Guides will host travellers for three summer days and introduce them to Finnish nature through their own activities.”
“Experiences can be anything from visiting a national park to spending a weekend fishing at a real summer cottage, berry picking in the wilderness, enjoying a proper Finnish sauna - basically all the things that we Finns love to do in nature and what makes Finland the happiest country in the world.”
To be in with a chance, all you have to do is fill in an application form and film a short video of yourself explaining why you’d like to win the trip.
But you better be quick – applications close on 14th April. Onnea! (That’s good luck in Finnish).
