Youngest in your family? Then you're officially the funniest
Sorry older siblings, we’re sorry to say, you’re not as LOL as you think you are, because a new study by YouGov has officially revealed that the youngest in the family are the funnest.
The latest research saw a number of questions put forward to brothers and sisters based on personality traits, confidence, responsibilities and organisational skills into consideration, as well as who displayed the most humour.
The results showed that the youngest child is thought to be more funny than the oldest, which is thought to be because the older sibling has a lot more responsibilities and is more family orientated, while the youngest is more care-free and easy-going.
YouGov also stated: “The most significant difference is in feeling the burden of responsibility – most (54 per cent) first borns say they are more responsible than their siblings, compared to 31 per cent of last borns. Younger siblings, on the other hand, are more likely to say they are more funny (46 per cent compared to 36 per cent of elder siblings), more easy going and more relaxed.”
So older siblings, you may not be that funny, but at least you don’t have to carry around that massive ego.
